Hawzah News Agency- Mohammad Kazem Rezvani had in an interview on the last night of the Fajr Film Festival in Qom on Tuesday, February 14 during which he said,” Fortunately, Qom province experienced the Fajr Film Festival for the ninth year simultaneously with the days of the glorious anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.”
He went on to say that holding Fajr Film Festival was planned for a long time and we were one of the provinces that held the festival with a warm welcome from the audience.
Referring to the holding of this festival on the 7th to the 14th of February in Venus, Tarbiat and Bazaar Shahr cinema halls in Qom, the artistic and cinematographic deputy of the General Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Qom added,” 16 Simorgh Souda films were screened in most provinces, but Qom province opt for the maximum screening. The organizing staff of the festival managed to put 20 films in the schedule, but unfortunately, one film could not be screened due to technical problems.”
Appreciating the good reception of the Fajr Film Festival in Qom, Rezvani said, "The people of Qom have a very good level of cinema awareness, and every year we witness the strong presence of different sections of the society in this festival."
Rezvani also asserted that this year, more than 6,000 people watched the films of the Fajr Festival in Qom, and said,” About 4,300 people bought tickets to watch the films, and 2,000 people including intellectuals, thinkers, and activists in the field of cinema in various cultural sectors attended the festival as guests and reviewed the films from their own perspective.”
